“Odd Birds” is a short musical blending animation and live-action.

Taxidermied birds are approaching the end of their term as teaching tools at a primary school. But before they are taken to the recycling center, they wish to share their accumulated life wisdom through song: a hen, stuck at the bottom of the pecking order, questions her identity; a cuckoo reflects on the intergenerational consequences of a broken family background. A hawk defends the law of the strongest, while a woodpecker struggles with the guilt of being a bystander.

The Project has received a script writing grant from the Finnish Film Foundation 03/2025
